Weight Loss Supplement Ingredients – What Are You Taking?
When you arrive at a store that sells weight loss supplements, and the word “fat burner” appears on the product, it becomes tempting.
You browse the aisle where these products are, and you purchase this enticing item. You are more concerned about losing your beer gut before your big wedding day.
Paula de la Torre Editor of the “Best Weight Loss Supplements” website — http://www.BestWeightLossSupplements.tv – pointed out
“… You do not have time to read what the main ingredients are in the weight loss supplement. The product says it burns fat in less than 24 hours, and your wedding is in two days, and you do not question if this supplement works or not…”
What if you took the time to read the ingredients? What are those weird names that you can barely pronounce? Will ingredient A and B actually burn off your fat? So, what are you really taking? Many of these weight loss miracles have been taking off of the shelves (i.e. Ephedra), for safety reasons.
Common weight loss supplement ingredients:
1. Chitosan
Chitosan is made from shells from shellfish such as lobsters and shrimp. Chitosan is suppose to bind the fat and absorb it, but this is completely false. Side effects such as gas and constipation are common.
2. Chromium
Some consumers say that their muscle tissue has increased and body fat has been lost, but no change in their body weight. Others have said that they did not see any results at all.
3. Citrus Aurantium also known as Bitter Orange
A herbal extract that has caused the ban on Ephedra. The only thing that this extract does is increase your blood pressure.
There are plenty other harmful ingredients in supplements for weight loss, but there are better options available. Acai berry supplements and Resveratrol are weight loss supplement alternatives that are completely safe and are made with natural ingredients.
“… Not only do they burn fat, they also stop the aging process. Supplement companies do not tell the consumers the whole story about what is in their products…” P. de la Torre added.
