Forskolin has also shown that it can increase aromatase activity via cAMP modulation and, therefore, increase formation of estrogen. With this said, Forskolin can theoretically induce gynecomastia (the development of female breast tissue) in males. Based on anecdotes, there have been reports of people experiencing breast tenderness, soreness, and puffiness after taking supplements containing forskolin. Supplements include, but are not limited to, Lean Xtreme, Forslean, and coleus forskohlii.
@MisterMannerisms much of the research on cissus quadrangularis has been on hemorrhoids and it’s ability to relieve pain most likely from the anti inflammatory effect. However the research is far from conclusive as more well designed studies in humans need to be done. Bottom line is the jury is still out. Hopefully it is the source of your pain relief. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.
I appreciate what you said about research of these herbs. Over the past few months I have been taking SuperCissus by USPlabs. My brother is a doctor and said he hardly could find any research on it. That being said, I take it and my arthritis issues go away! Whether from working out or playing the bass, my wrists get taxed. When I go off of it, within a few days…ouch! I know it is anecdotal but this product has done for me what Glucosamine is supposed to do, but never did. Any thoughts?
@BestPriceNutrition Thanks for the quick reply! I am eager to see if it helps me. Thanks again
@bluetulip21 it can’t lower it beyond the mechanisms your body has in place to counter it. Your body wants to maintain homeostasis (balance) and as a reuslt has mechanism to counteract things if they go too far one way.
Thanks for the review! I have read that it may cause low blood pressure, should that be a concern in taking forskolin? Doc says my pressure is great every time I go,
@BestPriceNutrition ok cool i just didnt want 1 overpowering the other or having one interfer with the other. ordering forskolin today.
@bodebldr2000 there is not any antagonistic effect if that is what you are asking.
@bodebldr2000 lol, no angina, which refers t chest pain when the myocardium does not get enough oxygen.
At :56 did you say vagina? lol
I like to use BullNOX as my pre workout drink, would it be wise or even matter if i took Forskolin daily and still use BullNOX?
A good dosage is 25mg of forskolin or forslean 2x a day. I’ve seen excellent results with this product. Stack it with a 500mg green tea extract 3x a day, Sesamin, and aceytl-l-carnitine at 3,000mg a day and the fat will start to melt off.
@keashab we don’t think the effect is that pronounced, just be sure to take enough to get the BP lowering effect.
I am African American, I don’t want to get darker. Should I take a lower dose?
@jazzminb ahh got it, glad we were able to help.
@BestPriceNutrition Thanks for responding. I asked because the forskolin I bought only has ‘guaranteed 3.85 mg of forskolin’ and since the brand you referenced has 10mg – I wanted to get that brand instead next time.
@jazzminb we are not really discussing one brand in particular, the bottle in the video is from Life Extension. Hope this helps.
What brand of forskolin are you referencing in this video?
great video. thank you so much. u answered a lot of my questions!
@BestPriceNutrition It does, and thanks for the quick response. So, I feel better about giving this a try since I can at least find it @ the store
@54rein no Fucothin is made with a different ingredient, fucoxanthin., that’s not to say it’s bad rather it’s just different and is more used for fat loss. Hope this helps.
@genowilcher
I actually noticed it also, good thing i DVR that episode and paused it. He mentioned 50mg 2x a day. Looking back i was wondering why Dr Oz was backing up away from that lady holding the bottle before it exploded.
I saw this on Dr. Oz but when I went to my vitamin store to buy it, they had what they claimed was a similar product called “Fucothin” Does anyone know if these two are basically the same?
I did see Dr. Oz recommended some dosage amount for forskolin but it was at the very end of the show on the show recap announcement. I wrote it down right quick but I misplaced the paper with the dosage amount on it. lol
