What is a Crash Diet?

I am 22, 5-11 and 230 pounds. I have started running to lose weight but I have only seen weight gain. We have all heard and understand that water is good for you and many of us strive to drink the ‘eight glasses a day’ which is the recommended amount and we trust the health articles that say we will perform better, achieve more and become fitter if we just keep on drinking water by the bucket load. That’s all fine, but how many of us have taken into account that water could possibly make weight loss easier? Yes, that’s correct, drink plenty of water and follow a calorie controlled diet and exercise regime and finally lose those last few excess pounds. Why is water great for weight loss?:
• We frequently confuse thirst with hunger, so when we assume that our body needs extra food; it may in fact only want rehydration. When you are tempted to snack, drink some water and then decide whether you are actually hungry, or just needed a drink.
